“I opened my practice on Bank Street in July 1991 with simple aims: to be the best optician I could be, and to provide a quality alternative to the faceless multiples that were popping up everywhere.”
More than 35 years later, everything has changed except the name above the door, the desire to provide the best possible eyecare, and Jacqueline's love of doing the job. In 2022 the practice was named Practice of the Year at the Eyecare Awards.

Excellent service once again. Recently visited for my biennial eye test. Jacqueline carried out a very thorough examination in her usual professional, patient and, typically, cheerful manner. Prescription updated and I was able to make use of an existing pair of almost new frames which I keep as a spare pair, into which the new lenses were fitted. No mention of or pressure, by anyone, to buy new frames and lenses. Jaqueline and all of her staff are always very friendly and helpful - during appointments or when you just pop in unannounced, often looking for help with something. Nothing is ever too much trouble. Whilst there are many other opticians locally to choose from, I am glad I was recommended this one a few years ago, The overall service is exceptional. Highly recommenced.
